CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Trial for a Salem man facing murder, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping charges could be headed to deliberations as soon as Thursday.

On Wednesday, jurors heard from the case investigator, Harrison Sheriff's Sgt. Jon Flanagan, as well as alleged co-conspirator Jennifer Kirk, in the case of Dennis Allen High, 38.

High has pleaded not guilty in the homicide of Dallion Corbet Lewis, 37, of Clarksburg, and is presumed innocent. Judge D. Andrew McMunn is presiding. The trial started Monday.

The state alleges that Lewis was shot by an Akron man over a $100 drug debt, with High and Kirk helping set up the shooting, and another Akron male — a juvenile at the time — basically serving as a wing man to the alleged shooter. Both of the Ohioans are awaiting
