Disco songstress and gay icon Gloria Gaynor is hearing it from fans after it was revealed that she is a major donor to Republican candidates and groups.
It was announced earlier this month that Gaynor, whose hit “I Will Survive” is an LGBTQ+ anthem, would receive a Kennedy Center Honor from President Donald Trump.
Meidas News reported that Gaynor, 81, has donated $22,000 to GOP groups and candidates since 2023.
She donated $2,160.57 to House Speaker Mike Johnson, $2,041.50 to Marsha Blackburn and $1,171.50 to New York Rep. Elise Stefanik.
Gaynor also donated to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Kevin McCarthy and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
