ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Poke Green has opened a second location in Stewart Square on West State in Rockford, expanding its reach on the city's west side.

The restaurant specializes in poke bowls, which are a fusion of Japanese and Hawaiian cuisines, offering a unique dining option in Rockford.

"It's one-of-a-kind, at least for this city. So we are excited to open here and give people a new choice," said Yichu Yang, the manager of the new location.

Poke bowls are essentially sushi in a bowl, enhanced with Hawaiian flavors such as mango, pineapple, and avocado. This distinctive blend aims to offer Rockford residents a fresh culinary experience.
