TAMPA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A Lakeland couple has been arrested and charged with a string of armed robberies in Tampa, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Andres Correa, 39, and Cassandra Kerr, 46, committed a series of armed robberies in August. If convicted, each faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each charge.

According to the criminal complaint, Correa and Kerr robbed a gas station on Aug. 5. Correa brandished a pistol and demanded money. Kerr acted as a lookout in her vehicle outside the store.

Two days later, Correa robbed a food mart in Tampa. During the robbery, Correa entered the business, produced a pistol, and demanded money. Kerr again acted a lookout.
