Texas Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been placed on the 15 day injured list with a rotator cuff strain, the team announced today. To take his place on the active roster, the Rangers have recalled pitcher Caleb Boushley.

Eovaldi’s injury was announced yesterday, and he’s most likely out for the season, which sucks. He was supposed to start this evening, but Jacob Latz will be starting in his stead, and Boushley will likely come in behind Latz. We shall see what they do for a longer-term replacement for Eovaldi in the rotation after that.
