COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Two South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice employees have been arrested and charged after turning themselves in.
Jordan Major of Lexington and Shala Dunham of Orangeburg have both been charged with furnishing contraband to a juvenile in the custody of SCDJJ and misconduct in office.
Major allegedly provided minors with edible THC gummies while Dunham allegedly provided juveniles in custody with vaping devices.
Both were suspended without pay once they were identified as suspects and then separated from the agency, according to SCDJJ. They both turned themselves in to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Wednesday.
It is unclear at this time if these incidents are related.
