An Atlantic County school district is making start times later for all grade levels, one week before students return to classes.
Pleasantville Public Schools is adjusting start times amid national concerns about students not getting enough sleep.
Students will report to the Middle School of Pleasantville by 8:30 a.m, instead of 8:05 a.m., under a scheduling change for the 2025-26 academic year unanimously approved by the school board Tuesday night.
At the four elementary schools, classes will begin at 8:55 a.m., instead of 8:50 a.m. Students will report to Pleasantville High School by 8 a.m. instead of 7:45 a.m.,
