The chilliest stretch for late August in almost 70 years continues for central Indiana. Lows on Wednesday got down as low as 41° in Crawfordsville. Indianapolis' low of 52° on Wednesday is normal for late September and early October. Below normal streak now at EIGHT consecutive days.

Another day with highs in the 70s will occur on Thursday. However, the added difference will be a small rain chance. A passing front will bring a few very light showers to portions of the region late morning and through the afternoon. This will usher in another batch of mild air for a few days heading into the Labor Day weekend.

Temperatures will moderate back to near normal for Labor Day. That means highs in the lower 80s will be around for at least a few days aross central Indiana. However, this look to be
