CLAREMONT, The Bronx (PIX11) -- One man is dead, and two more are injured, after a shooting on Wednesday morning in this Central Bronx neighborhood.
It was the fifth shooting in less than two days in the borough.
In addition to those crimes, leaving three people dead and at least seven injured, the violence also provoked calls by residents for the city to do more to prevent it, including possibly allowing National Guard troops to be deployed.
The latest shooting happened both inside and in front of 1412 College Avenue, near the intersection of East 170th Street.
At around 8:30 a.m., according to witnesses, there was a dispute between a man whose identity has not been released and the building supervisor and two other neighbors.
