Two long-serving pillars of the community received honors Tuesday night during a banquet that aimed to show the power of having a thriving Boy Scout organization in a community.

The 21st Annual Congressman Hal Rogers Leadership Award Dinner was held at the Center for Rural Development, and retired Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Dan Venters was the guest of honor as the recipient of the Hal Rogers Leadership Award.
