CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio will hold on to a fall-like feel as cooler-than-normal temperatures stick around to close out August.
High pressure moving into the area will shut off any lingering lake-effect showers Wednesday, leaving behind drier conditions with mostly sunny skies.
High temperatures will range from the upper 60s to the mid 70s, which is still several degrees below the seasonable average of about 80.
Overnight Wednesday, fair weather will continue with lows dropping into the upper 40s to low 50s away from the lakeshore.
Cooler air sticks around
Unseasonably cool conditions are typically followed by the atmosphere warming up, but a cold front sweeping in from the north on Thursday will extend the fall preview in Northeast Ohio through Labor Day weekend.
