TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — The Trump administration is taking further action to enforce requirements for commercial truck drivers following the fatal highway U-turn crash in St. Lucie County this month. That crash involved 28-year-old Harjinder Singh, who is being held on three counts of vehicular homicide and manslaughter.

This move comes just days after Florida's Attorney General, James Uthmeier, sent a letter to the federal government to pull commercial driver's license programs and federal funding from California and Washington.

Governor Ron DeSantis addressed the issue at a press conference in Tampa this week, saying states are not allowed to issue commercial driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.
