A more typical summertime pattern settles back in across the Bay area Thursday with a dry morning and storms developing by the afternoon.

Mainly clear skies to start will transition into partly, at times mostly, cloudy skies. As the Gulf sea breeze kicks into gear, a few showers may pop up by the early lunchtime before becoming a 30% chance of isolated storms for the mid-afternoon.

With more sun and dry conditions until later in the day, highs climb above average near 93 degrees. Rain, storms and much of the cloud cover track eastward throughout the afternoon, leaving those along the coast and I-75 mainly dry and quiet for Thursday evening.

Rain chances remain limited Friday but increase to more scattered coverage heading into the upcoming weekend.
