LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Marion man faces charges after allegedly breaking into a house on Wednesday.
At approximately 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, authorities responded to a report of a burglary happening in the 3700 block of N Center Point Road.
The caller said he returned home to find a man inside the house. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
Police found 47-year-old Timothy Meier, of Marion, on the property shortly after. He was charged with second-degree burglary and possession of stolen property.
According to police, he was in possession of both stolen property and a vehicle that was reported stolen by the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
The incident remains under investigation. No other information is known at this time.
