OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A 37-year-old man who had been serving time in federal prison was extradited to Omaha this week as a suspect in a cold case murder.

The Omaha Police Homicide Unit arrested Cordell Bridgeman as a suspect in the murder of Andrea Georgeson. He was booked into Douglas County Corrections on Tuesday night, according to an OPD release.

Bridgeman is facing a first-degree murder charge.

The 41-year-old woman was shot by a robber while taking a break in her car on the first night of her second job. Officers found her dead in her vehicle at 4:26 a.m. that Wednesday morning, Oct. 23, 2019.

In 2021, OPD released security camera photos of a man near the murder scene.
