NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The University of Texas System Board of Regents allocated $37 million for maintenance projects for Stephen F. Austin State University’s campus.
The decision came during the Board of Regents’ August meeting.
The funds will be given out over three years, beginning in fiscal year 2026 and ending in fiscal year 2028.
The funds will be allocated to qualifying spaces in order to address deferred maintenance. Student housing, intercollegiate athletics, and auxiliary enterprises.
According to SFA officials, the funds come just as a master plan for the campus’ future has been completed.
“These funds come at a pivotal moment for SFA,” said Dr. Neal Weaver, SFA president. “As we welcome record enrollment growth and unprecedented interest in our university, this invest
