MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - The Bureau of Land Management recently sold 31.1 acres of land to Mesa County in a move aimed at boosting economic growth in the Clifton community.
The land sale, attended by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, who used to represent District 3 which covered Mesa County, was facilitated by the Convey Act, which Boebert introduced. The act, signed into law by President Joe Biden, expedited the Bureau of Land Management's disposal process, allowing the sale to proceed after nearly seven years of effort.
