LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A coalition of business owners, residents, civic leaders, and investors known as the West Louisville Dream Team has made significant strides in its effort to purchase and revitalize the Nia Center in west Louisville.
The group is optimistic about the future of the center, which they view as a critical hub for economic growth and cultural connection in the community.
WLDT has offered $2.1 million to purchase the building from the Transit Authority of River City (TARC). According to Timothy Cox, president of the West Louisville Dream Team, the group already has businesses, nonprofits, and community service providers lined up to lease space.
"We have enough people to occupy about 90% of the building right now," said Cox. "So it won't take long to get this occupied."
