PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Being an actor in a touring show can be an intense experience.
The actors playing Boq and Nessarose in “Wicked” at the Peoria Civic Center’s Prairie Home Alliance Theater have some insight into what it’s like putting on this show eight times each week.
The current touring cast of “Wicked” started rehearsals on April 26, working with the show’s original associate director, who has been in charge of putting new actors in the musical for over 20 years. It was a four-week rehearsal process.
“I kinda came in thinking it would be very cut and dry because, you think of like these shows that have been running so long, it’s like a machine,” said Nicolas Garza, who plays Boq.
