Members of the Merville Community Association (MCA) says they have the perfect solution to a long standing issue in Comox — What to do with the former Mack Laing Shakesides home.

But the group isn’t getting the kind of response they’d expect.

“Well I don’t even have a scale to match my frustration,” MCA Director, Craig Freeman told CHEK News.

Freeman says his frustration is mounting as he runs into dead end after dead end with what could resolve this issue in Comox.

“It seems that we have offered a solution to a problem with the Town of Comox, they have considered it and they’ve decided, ‘nope we don’t want to pony up to your solution, we’re just going to get rid of the problem’,” he said.
