Voters in the West Des Moines school district will consider a $135 million bond referendum on Nov. 4.

Earlier this week, the school board approved moving ahead with the proposal.

If approved, it would pay for a new multipurpose student activities facility near Valley Stadium and Valley Southwoods.

Bryan Geelan, communications director for the West Des Moines Community Schools, tells KCCI's Shannon Ehrhardt they are still in the early stages of figuring out what this multipurpose facility would look like.

Geelan says it would serve a large number of students in athletics and activities.

The proposal will be on the Nov. 4 ballot.
