MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Nine Morgan County World War II veterans who never came home were honored Wednesday at Mooresville High School.

A ceremonial Chair of Honor for prisoners of war and those declared missing in action was installed at the entrance to the school. The chair sits near the MHS Military Honor Wall, which recognizes Mooresville alumni who have served in the armed forces.

The school is the 19th public site in Indiana to receive a Chair of Honor from Rolling Thunder Indiana, which is dedicated to honoring and remembering POW/MIAs from the Hoosier State. Other locations include the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis International Airport, Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as well as the Indiana Statehouse.
