NISKAYUNA — The Niskayuna Central School District aims to have its [SRO] program in place for the first day of school, on Sept. 4, after the town board and school board both approved an agreement for the program during separate Tuesday night meetings.
Under the three-year agreement, the Niskayuna police department will provide one officer to the district who will be stationed at the high school. The SRO program returns to the district for the first time since 2008.
