HAMILTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- Police are investigating after possible human bones were found in a sewer Wednesday.
The Hamilton Police Department was called to the intersection of Third Street and Market Street on Wednesday after a contractor reported finding apparent human bones in a sewer.
Police say the contract was conducting a routine maintenance inspection of the storm sewer system when he came across the bones.
Additional crews from the fire department, coroner's office and city department of infrastructure were called out as investigation began.
The coroner's office safely recovered the bones and will take them for examination.
