Lawyers for celebrity crocodile wrangler Matt Wright have accused a pilot and his family of manufacturing allegations against the Netflix star during his Supreme Court trial in Darwin.

Delivering his closing address to the jury, David Edwardson KC told the court pilot Sebastian Robinson had told “lie after lie” to investigators in the weeks after the crash that killed Wright’s friend Chris “Willow” Wilson.

Wright has pleaded not guilty to three charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice over allegations he tried to obstruct the investigation into the February 2022 crash.

One of the charges relates to allegations he attended the Brisbane hospital where Mr Robinson was recovering on March 11 and March 13 2022 and tried to get him to falsify documents relating to the helicopter
