CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. (KKTV) - Cripple Creek Police said investigators have recovered more than $70,000 that they say was stolen from a Cripple Creek casino.

On August 18, police said $76,800 was stolen from J.P. McGill’s Casino in Cripple Creek.

26-year-old Andrew Irvine of Colorado Springs was arrested later that day in connection with the theft.

Police said investigators recovered $70,550 from Irvine’s attorney, along with various items of clothing that he was wearing during the theft.

As of Wednesday evening, police say Irvine is in custody at the Teller County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing.
