DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Ahead of Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters' performance Wednesday evening, the Lincoln Square Theater dedicated a plaque to the group.
The theater designated its VIP Mezzanine for the group, including Thornton, J.D. Andrew, Kirk McKim, Raymond Hardy and Nick Davidson.
The rock band had never performed at the theater before this week, but appreciated its history.
Thornton told WAND News he hopes the group is able to come back to play at the Lincoln Square Theater every year from now on.
Thornton is best known as a movie and TV star. Right now, he is starring in "Landman." Season two is expected to premiere in November.
