BELLE PLAINE, Kan. (KSNW) -- Belle Plaine football is gearing up for the new season with many fresh faces. The Dragons have a young roster after graduating eight seniors.

However, there are several returning starters in key positions. Running back Talan Hefley is a standout player for the offense. He is one of many guys who brings speed to the game.

"It will help us in all aspects. The game has really changed from just being straight up physical. And I think some of our strength this year will just be utilizing the entire field," said Belle Plaine head coach Michael Fox.

The overall focus this season is to get the team working together as one unit. With no wins to show last season, the Dragons are just aiming for a relentless work ethic.
