COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Now that the Colorado special session to address shortfalls in the budget has concluded, we are looking at new legislation and how it could make major changes for residents.

New law for Medicaid recipients

- SB25B-002 - State-Only Funding for Certain Entities

-Allows health care providers who cannot collect federal Medicare/Medicaid funds to receive state funding from the health department

- Helps providers such as Planned Parenthood, which had its funding cut

Free Lunch Law ballot question amended

- SB25B-003 Healthy School Meals For All

- Makes changes to a ballot question this November

- Changes Ballot Question MM

- Previously asked voters if they want to get excess funds for free lunch

- Now asks if they would divert those funds to be us
