THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - The Thomas Nighthawks are just days away from opening the Vincent Davis era. The NAIA squad is set to begin its third season of college football taking on the Bluefield Rams in Virginia.

Clearance issues kept TU from getting all of its guys on the field right at the start of fall camp, but Davis still pleased with his team and how they’ve come together, sensing they’re ready to hit someone else for a change.

“We’ve got a few weeks under our belt and now we’re ready to make this thing happen,” said Davis of his team starting to come together. “They’re buying in. When I first came in they were a little leary, but I told them just buy into the process, work to become an family and we’ll make it work.”

Kickoff at Bluefield set for Saturday at 1 PM.
