KNOX COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — Breaches of privacy at the Knox County Courthouse has led to multiple county officials either being fired or suspended.

The Knox County Board of Supervisors said after reviewing the report from the Special Knox County Attorney, they suspended County Attorney Hanna Knox Jensen without pay for one year.

The Board fired Chief Deputy Sheriff Dan Henery and 911 Coordinator Heather Kienow after Sheriff Don Henery refused to do so. The report states that Don Henery and Dan Henery are brothers.

In 2024, a new audio and visual system was installed in the Courthouse, resulting in a second microphone being installed in the Supervisors' meeting room without the Board's knowledge.

Supervisors said the previous system had just one microphone with a cutoff or toggle switch
