Sam Greenwood is looking forward to embarking on a new challenge in his career at Pogon Szczecin . The forward departed Leeds United yesterday, joining the Polish Ekstraklasa outfit on a permanent transfer.

Reports suggest Szczecin have paid £3.4m for Greenwood's services . The 23-year-old has signed a three-year contract, with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

Greenwood told Szczecin's club website: "I'm delighted. I found a beautiful stadium and a beautiful city here. My goal is to be a great addition to the team, to help them, and of course, to win something with them.

"I know the Ekstraklasa is a tough league where anyone can beat anyone. I'll fight for the team and give my all for the fans."
