The White House is said to have told Denmark to "calm down" over claims Americans have been conducting secret operations in Greenland.

According to the BBC , a White House official issued the statement after a media report alleged American nationals linked to President Donald Trump are trying to infiltrate the autonomous territory that makes up one-third of the Kingdom of Denmark, and run secret influencing operations there. Newsweek could not independently verify these reports.
