To address possible changes to how Medicaid funds for behavioral health are managed in Michigan, the Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is hosting a townhall for residents.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 16 at the Align Center for Workforce Development, 440 E. Church St. in Adrian.

Agencies like LCMHA currently handle such funds, but a new plan could open the door to private nonprofits, according to the organization.

“It would obviously impact us, but the ripples are much bigger than just Community Mental Health," wrote Executive Director Kathryn Szewczuk. "It would impact our 70-plus providers, our community partners and — most importantly — the thousands of people we serve each year."
