ATLANTIC CITY — The city’s housing authority will meet Thursday for the first time since the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development took over the local agency.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at the authority’s headquarters at 901 Arctic Ave.

The authority’s board of commissioners was removed as a result of the takeover.

Daniel Sherrod is listed on the agenda as the only person voting on resolutions.

Since the Aug. 11 takeover, HUD has not responded to questions about its plans, future meetings, who Sherrod is and how the agency would function on a daily basis.

But a five-year plan posted on the authority’s website last week outlined several paths for modernizing and improving operations and substandard dwellings through a mix of public and private methods.
