LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

I-65 is back open Thursday morning after a woman was found shot.

Hearst Owned 65 South Closed at Watterson

Police responded to a call of a collision on southbound I-65 near Grade Lane, not far from the airport, around 3:47 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found a woman who had been shot. She was rushed into surgery at UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said detectives have not yet determined the details of how the entire incident occurred.

Traffic was diverted to exit 131 allowing motorist to exit at the Watterson or Preston Hwy.
