Following an emotional departure from the iconic cobbles of Coronation Street , actor Adam Hussain, who played Aadi Alahan , has revealed that it was his decision to leave the soap.

Adam joined the cast in April 2020 , taking over the role of Dev and Sunita's son, Aadi, from Zennon Ditchett, who had left to focus on his A-levels. Before this, the roles of Aadi and his twin sister Asha were portrayed by triplets Hannah, Harris and Ria Ahmed.

However, after five years, Adam decided it was time to "spread his wings" and explore other characters.

His decision appears to have paid off as he has already secured a role in a new feature film, directed by award-winning horror director Richard Stanley.
