The 712 members of the University of Mount Union’s Class of 2029 kicked off their campus careers this week after taking part Aug. 22 in their Matriculation Convocation.
The annual ceremony takes place in Timken Gymnasium of the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex, located down the hall from the Peterson Field House, where those same students will receive their degrees in four years.
Bill Cunion, vice president for academic affairs, welcomed the students and discussed the mission of Mount Union and how it will help guide their academic careers.
Mount Union President Greg King encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities on campus, both in and outside of the classroom, and to learn from the supportive community of the University.
