A British dad and grandad has died on holiday after suffering from a mystery pain in his side while out for dinner with his family.
Alan Kirby, 67, was hospitalised at the start of July in Athens once he started to fall unwell. He originally visited a local clinic where he was reportedly told he would need antibiotics for an alleged chest infection.
However, once the car valeter had been moved to a hospital, step-daughter, Liza Whitmore, 40, said the news he received was shocking as a health official reportedly told him "antibiotics won't cure cancer."
It was at this point Liza said her step-father needed to get home as quickly as possible for a biopsy, but due to insurance not covering his costs to travel home, she was forced to set up a GoFundMe.
