WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — It is the first day of school in Warwick and school zone speed cameras are now in effect near eleven different schools in the city.

To keep students safe to and from school, Warwick public schools will have “bus patrol” to keep an eye out for illegal school bus passings.

It was soft launched last spring, and was in in full effect by June.

The school system is working in partnership with the Warwick Police Department.
