Ryanair could cut nearly one million seats at airports across Spain in response to plans to increase airport charges recently announced by airport operator Aena.

The budget airline is expected to announce the news next Wednesday, Spanish news site Europa Press reports .

Eddie Wilson, the airline’s CEO, said in an interview with the publication “we are going to invest where we can get a return.”

He added that the decision was made due to the “indifference” of the Spanish government.
