BELLEVUE, Wash. — One person was killed in a house fire in Bellevue late Wednesday night, according to the Bellevue Fire Department (BFD).

Multiple people called 911 just after 11 p.m. to report that a house was on fire on 108th Avenue, near Bellevue High School.

When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to BFD.

Firefighters began attacking the fire and were able to enter the home minutes later. They found the sole occupant of the home dead upon searching the residence.

Fire investigators will work to determine the cause of the fire. The victim's age and identity are unknown.
