More of the same weather is expected for Acadiana today as the typical summer heat and rain chances continue for one more day. Highs will be into the lower 90s with isolated showers and storms, mostly during the afternoon and evening hours. Heat Index Values near 105° for the hottest part of the day.

Scattered showers and storms become more widespread through the morning hours of Friday and could last through much of the afternoon. There is a low risk for severe weather tomorrow in Acadiana as a few storms could produce damaging winds. Also, localized flooding is possible. Scattered rain continues on Saturday but we shouldn't have a risk for severe weather.
