Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair attendance rebounded with two record-setting days on the back end of the 10-day run in Lebanon.

Two prize hams were auctioned for $35,000 apiece at the Future Farmers of America Ham Breakfast held as part of the fair.

Two prized hams that sold for the price a luxury SUV might fetch help symbolize what drives the Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair.

The hams were auctioned for a combined $70,000 as part of the 10th annual Tennessee State Fair Future Farmers of America Ham Breakfast, now part of the fair that ended its 2025 run on Aug. 23 at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon.

“We want good, young people in agriculture.” said Wayne Hunt, CEO and founder of H&R Agri-Power, which partnered with Catesa Farms to buy one of the hams for $35,
