VIRGINIA, USA — Gov. Glenn Youngkin ordered that U.S. and Virginia flags be flown at half-staff across the Commonwealth following a presidential proclamation by Donald J. Trump on Wednesday.
The order directs all state and local buildings and grounds across the Commonwealth to lower their flags beginning Wednesday, Aug. 27, and remain at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, Aug. 31, in memory and respect of the victims of the Annunciation Catholic School mass shooting.
This comes after President Donald Trump ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at the White House and all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its territories and possessions
