Two men suspected of stealing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise loaded into cargo trailers parked outside a Woodcrest warehouse were behind bars Thursday awaiting word on possible criminal charges.
Brayan Cardenas, 27, and Eduardo Urena, 20, both of Perris, were arrested and booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta Tuesday on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy. Cardenas was also booked for alleged possession of a firearm while dealing controlled substances.
He was held in lieu of $25,000 bail, while Urena was held on $10,000.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the pair came under investigation Monday morning following a theft at a property in the 20000 block of Krameria Avenue, near Barton Street, where multiple warehouses are located.
