As the city of Toledo approaches the halfway point through the fiscal year, officials are adjusting the budget, and some council members are trying to add in a few line items as well.
Melanie Campbell, the interim finance director, presented the city’s mid-year budget adjustments to Toledo City Council’s finance committee Wednesday.
The adjustments include an additional $10,040,000 from the general fund; $100,000 from the capital improvement fund; and $3,250,000 from the water operating fund.
For the general fund, the city is adjusting its budget to include $200,000 for the demolition of the Riverside Mobile Home Park; $40,000 for the Aunt Flow contract; $5 million for wages and benefits as a result of police union contracts; $4.4 million for wages and benefits as a result of the firefi
