DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- Two people were arrested in Danville on Wednesday after police said a fired gunshot led to the discovery of both drugs and illegally owned firearms.

Officials from the Danville Police Department said in a news release that at approximately 8:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Jackson and Sherry Streets for a report of one shot being fired. They identified Clayvonte Sloan of Danville as a suspect, and patrolling officers found him in the area.

The investigation eventually led officers to a house on Jackson Street, where officers made contact with Talicia Duckworth. A court-ordered search of the home resulted in officers finding two guns, suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and suspected cocaine.
