Retired tennis star Anna Kournikova is expecting her fourth child at the age of 44. Reports indicate that Kournikova is approximately halfway through her pregnancy and that everything is progressing well.
Kournikova and her longtime partner, singer Enrique Iglesias, already have three children together: 7-year-old twins Lucy and Nicholas, and 5-year-old Mary. The couple has been together since 2001 but has never married. Iglesias has previously referred to Kournikova as his wife, but clarified in a 2012 interview that it was meant to be a “sweet in the moment” comment. He explained, “I honestly didn’t mean to confuse people. I thought it’d be easier for the audience to understand than if I said ‘my girl.’”
After retiring from professional tennis in 2003 due to injuries, Kournikova became more reclusive. In January, she was spotted in a wheelchair while shopping in Miami, wearing an orthopedic boot. The images, taken at Bal Harbour Shops, quickly gained attention online. In the photos, Kournikova wore a black hooded sweatshirt and matching pants, with her long blonde hair tied back.
The specifics of her injury remain unclear, including when it occurred. Kournikova and Iglesias first met when she appeared in his music video for the hit song "Escape."
Kournikova gained fame in the late 1990s, particularly after reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon in 1997. While her singles career did not yield many titles, she achieved significant success in doubles, winning 16 titles and two Australian Open championships alongside partner Martina Hingis.
