WINNIPEG — A mass stabbing at Hollow Water First Nation in Manitoba has resulted in two fatalities, including the suspect. The incident occurred early Thursday morning, leaving at least six others injured. The community is located approximately 200 kilometers northeast of Winnipeg.
According to the Manitoba RCMP, the attack has led to multiple injuries, with health officials reporting that two victims were airlifted to Winnipeg for treatment. The remaining injured individuals were transported by ground ambulance.
RCMP officers are currently investigating the scene at various locations within the community and along Highway 304, south of Black River First Nation. The area remains active as law enforcement works to piece together the events that transpired.
In a statement, the RCMP expressed their condolences, saying, "Our sincere condolences to everyone within the community of Hollow Water First Nation and to everyone who has been affected by this senseless act of violence."
